Paragraph Development

INDUCTIVE-it is pattern of a organization wherein particulars are presented first leading on to a generalization.
For ex. Soil is thin layer of loose material on the surface of the earth above the soil is air;beneath it is solid rock. It can be a few inches deep or it can go down several feet.Soil is a mixture of organic and inorganic materials.The organic part consists of living things and the remains of non-living things. The inorganic part is made up of particles of rock and materials, that is, of substances that were not formed by living things. The world soil comes from the latin word solum, which means "floor" or "ground".

Deductive Order- it is a pattern of an organization where in generalization is state first follow by particulars. It is the reverse of the Inductive Order of arrangement.
For ex. As man proceeds toward his announced goal of the conquest of nature, he has written a depressing record of destruction, directed not only against the life that shares it w/ him . The history of the recient centuries has its black passages-the slaughter of the buffalo in the western plains, the massacre of the shorebirds by the market gunners, the near extermination of the egrets for their plumage, and the hammering to death of seals for their skins. Now, to these another like them we are adding a new chapter and a new kind of havoc- the direct killing of birds, mamals, fishes, and indeed partically every from of wildlife by chemical insecticides indiscriminately sprayed on the land.

CONTRAST- the differences of both objects are cited in order to make the idea clear.]
For ex. a laser is a powerful beam of coherent light, the rays of which stay parallel over rast distances. The laser light bem is entirely different from the beam produced by all other light sources.

COMPARISON- combines the two method of analogy and contrast (pointing at similarities add differences.
FOR ex. there are two measuring devices which are both used to measure short distances accurately, the vernier caliper and the micrometer. The vernier caliper is a semiprecision measuring tool used to measure short distances accurately to hundreths of a centimeter, while the micrometer caliper is a precision measuring instrument used to measure very short distances accurately to thousands of centimeters.

PROCESS-is a series of action, and fundamentally the descriptions of a process is the description of action. The action may be either one of two types. One type is that in which attention is focused on the performance of a human being the other type involves action in which a human operator either is not directly concerned at all, or inconspicuous.

CAUSE AND EFFECT- By examining the causes or effects of something, we seek to explain things that happen in our lives. There are nearly always multiple causes and effects associated with any phenomenon location,event idea,etc.Emphasizing on or another cause and for effect is the point of writing a cause and effect essay.

DESCRIPTION - is a verbal picture of a preson, place or thing, more than any other type of essay a descriptive paper needs sharp colorful details.
EX. "The blades of the rusty window fan clattered and whirled as they blew out a stream of warm, soggy air."

NARRATION- is story telling giving readers an account of something that happened.- is used to make a statement clear or illustrate a short point.
For Ex. You might provide a vivid account of for first driving experiences to argue for a higher minimun driving age.

DEFINITION- In a written definition, we make clear in a more detailed and formal way our understanding of a term in order to illustrate a point.EX.Statement;many student behave like vampire:Definition;Student "vampire" are the one who talk into rate without books or paper, and sit in the very last row of class listening to music.

ARGUMENTATION- In an argument essay ; you deffent a controversial point- one with which at least some readers will not agree-with a series of solid reasons.
1.use tactful, courteous language
2.point out common ground
3.acknowledge differing view points grant their merits.
4.robot differing view point.
